Some readers of this esteemed blog – the millions of you out there – expressed some objection to my all-too-casual dismissal of the “voice of a generation,” Bob Dylan, within a prior post on the Drive-By Truckers. Alright, maybe I was a bit snide. I’d like to try to atone for that now by featuring what is undoubtedly one of Dylan’s greatest and most important songs, ‘Blowin’ In The Wind,’ but presented here in a slightly different take from the original, by a band of whom I’m extraordinarily fond, and who historically, I think, should be held in similar regard.
