If you’re like me, by the time Christmas week rolls around you may already be a little less jolly about “Christmas music.”
In that spirit may I offer an alternative to Nat King Cole, Brenda Lee and Burl Ives, something to provide a little more rock to your rockin’ around the Christmas tree. See the Spotify playlist below, and try some Rock & Roll Christmas tunes.
And if you stick around til the very end of the last track you’ll even get especially heartwarming Christmas wishes from Lemmy of Motörhead (that surely would’ve made Bing Crosby spit out his pipe).
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, all.

So Much Great Music
December 24, 2021 1:58 pmThx, Rob, and same for you.
Playlist-wise, Wham, Band-Aid – and I also got bashed for omitting Lennon’s “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” – I just didn’t feel they hewed close enough to the “rock” I was trying to assemble for a “Rock & Roll Christmas” list. I will admit, though, that Bono’s line (“Well tonight thank God it’s them instead of you!”) in ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas’ is still rock solid.
